This episode of The Five Count is from Feb. 2, 2008. It featured an exclusive interview with Jon Mikl Thor. Known as “The Legendary Rock Warrior,” Thor has been releasing albums since the early 1970s. He’s also appeared in films like Rock ‘N’ Roll Nightmare, Recruits, and Zombie Nightmare. Jon was joined by his guitarist Steve Price. During the show we discussed the film Rock ‘N’ Roll Nightmare, how easily Thor could handle Danzig in the octagon, Steve Price’s tendency to play until he bleeds, and Thor’s new album Into the Noise. It was a hell of a show, Ol’ Scratch!
For this edition of The Five Count, with a little help from the Peters Brothers, we discussed the “Truth About Rock.” The Five Count is usually all about fun and games, but for this show we discussed the dangers of today’s secular music, examined the lives of rock stars, the lyrics in today’s popular rock songs, and the deadly craze of backward-masking. A show like this was long overdue in Southern Minnesota!
This was the third anniversary of The Five Count! All sorts of “regulars” and “semi-regulars” showed up to help us celebrate during this three-hour show. We also had a blistering 90-minute set from The Five Count House Band. They aren’t the best, but they mean well. We’ll see if we can’t make it another year with this thing!
This was the second anniversary of The Five Count! It was also an unnecessary amount of The Five Count, clocking in at more than five hours! When not making sophomoric jokes and reminiscing about the last two years, The Five Count House Band (backed up by The Five Countettes) played live in studio and ripped through all your old favorites. Thanks everyone for sticking with us the last two years!
This edition of The Five Count featured an exclusive interview with actor and musician Bill Moseley. Bill is best known for his role as “Chop Top” in the film Texas Chainsaw Massacre II. He also appeared in films like Rob Zombie’s House of 1,000 Corpses, The Devil’s Rejects, and is the singer for the band Cornbugs. During the show he talked about the Cornbugs, working with guitarist Buckethead, making the film The Devil’s Rejects, and planned a trip to Minnesota to go canoeing in the near future. Check it out, you dog dick!
This was the big one-year anniversary of The Five Count! During the show The Five Count House Band made its debut with the most unorganized and under-rehearsed jam session ever broadcast. They were joined by Randy “Macho Man” Savage, who dished up some freestyle rhymes. After the smoke cleared, we re-aired the pilot episode of The Five Count for anyone who jumped on the bandwagon late. It’s hard to believe we haven’t been thrown off the air yet!
