An Evening With Commando’s Vernon Wells…

11 August 2012no comments Audio Posts, Celebrity Interviews

This was a special two-hour edition of The Five Count. During the first hour we reminisced about our days as the Barbarian Brothers, professed our love for the band Blackfoot, and Ton ate half a bag of salt water taffy and lit his head on fire. It was hipper than a Jandek concert!

The second hour featured an exclusive interview with Vernon Wells. Vernon is an Australian actor best known for his roles as “Wez” from the film Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior and “Bennett” from Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Commando. He also appeared in films like Weird Science, Innerspace, The Shrimp on the Barbie, and Looney Tunes: Back in Action. During the show he discussed how he made his way from Australia to Hollywood, recalled his time on the set of Commando, and shared stories about beating up Mel Gibson and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Steam was let off by all! If Matrix was here, he’d listen again, too…
