During this episode of The Five Count we celebrated the 25-year anniversary of Aerosmith‘s Get a Grip album, defended Aerosmith’s honor against numerous naysayer listeners, gave our thoughts on the recent concert involving real musicians backing a video of Prince, Ton regaled us with tales of his various great-radio groupie conquests, and we raked-in numerous donations to the KMSU Pledge Drive. Music was the weapon!
This edition of The Five Count featured an exclusive interview with Derek St. Holmes. Derek is best known as the former singer and guitarist for Ted Nugent. The voice behind songs like Hey Baby, Stranglehold, and Just What the Doctor Ordered, Derek has been making music since the mid-1970s. During the show he discussed his on-again off-again relationship with Ted Nugent, his band with Aerosmith’s Brad Whitford, and the story behind his custom Gibson guitar. It was just what the doctor ordered!
During the rest of the show we discussed the grief some people give you for being a Ted Nugent fan, what kind of doctor Ton would be if he traveled back in time 400 years, and gave pointers to the KMSU news anchors. They could learn a lot from professionals like us.
