Save the Crumbs was an independent ’zine written, designed, assembled and distributed by The Five Count‘s Dustin Wilmes and a handful of folks in Mankato, Minn. We started the publication in 2007 to give the people of Mankato and the surrounding areas a place to have their work published. Each issue of Save the Crumbs was a collection of writings, musings, opinions, reviews, observations, advice, artwork and whatever we felt like printing. It was the true spirit of D.I.Y.
Busy schedules, increased blog creation, public leeriness and the printed page’s continued circling of the drain caused the demise of Save the Crumbs in 2014. For nostalgia’s sake, all 43 issues are available in PDF form. Thanks to everyone who contributed over the years!
