An Evening With Pantera’s Rex Brown…

This was a special two-hour edition of The Five Count. The first hour featured an exclusive interview with Rex Brown. Rex is best known as the bassist and founding member of the band Pantera. He has also played with the likes of Down, Crowbar, Jerry Cantrell, David Allan Coe, and Kill Devil Hill. During the show he discussed life on the road with Pantera, what led to the end of the band, and he promoted his new book, Official Truth, 101 Proof: The Inside Story of Pantera. Speakers were blown across the state.

We entered the Gladiator Arena to compete in a battle of strength and agility during the second hour of the show. We played all our favorite jock jams, shared the story of Ton being cast as the first “Gemini” on the American Gladiators TV show, gave love advice to local prom attendees, and whined for pledge dollars for KMSU. Naturally, the money poured in!
