An Evening With Accept’s Udo Dirkschneider…

This edition of The Five Count featured an exclusive interview with Udo Dirkschneider. Udo is best known as the former singer for the band Accept. The voice behind songs like Fast as a Shark, Restless and Wild, and Balls to the Wall, he’s also the frontman for the band U.D.O. and his new band, Dirkschneider. During the show he discussed finding success in the U.S. with Accept, his decision to stop performing Accept songs on tour, and his recent recording of Frank Sinatra’s My Way. During the rest of the show we tested out our new bed music, argued over our new website design, and spoke with a woman in a bomb shelter in New England who was hiding from a nor’easter. Luckily, she still had The Five Count and a five-month supply of beans!

The first installment of The Five Count for 2018 featured an exclusive interview with guitarist Scott Ian. Scott is best known as a founder and guitarist for the band Anthrax. He’s also played with the likes of Stormtroopers of Death, Public Enemy, and The Damned Things. During the show Scott discussed the longevity of Anthrax, appearing on the TV show Married… With Children, his love for AC/DC’s Phil Rudd, and his new book “Access All Areas: Stories from a Hard Rock Life.” We were caught in a mosh!

During the rest of the show we discussed which bands we would invite over for dinner, the dangers of letting cats eat your face, Ton considered moving to Waseca, and we tried to figure why we stopped listening to Led Zeppelin. It’s gonna be a great year!
