An Evening With Don McLean & Firewind’s Gus G….

This edition of The Five Count featured two exclusive interviews with legendary guitarists. First we were joined by guitarist Gus G. Gus is best known as the guitarist and founder of the band Firewind. He’s also played with Ozzy Osbourne, Rotting Christ and Arch Enemy. During the show he discussed what his memories of playing with Ozzy, what he plans to do with his free time thanks to COVID-19 canceling live shows, and the new self-titled Firewind album. Next we were joined by legendary singer-songwriter Don McLean. Don is best known for hits like Vincent, And I Love You So and American Pie. He’s also a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame. We got funky for Mother’s Day for this installment of The Five Count. During the show we complained about how society assumes most men don’t do laundry and dishes, Dustin was shamed for the lack of beef in his diet, and we discussed the likelihood that Ton could be in your mom’s bedroom right now. He’s the Wayne Newton of public radio!

Children Of The Five Count…

This episode of The Five Count was for the children. During the show we played our favorite children songs, discussed who would be on our Mt. Rushmore of cartoon characters, explained how not to be offensive when ordering food at Mexican restaurants, and Ton told the story of how he almost played Joey Lawrence’s role on the TV show Blossom. We also spent 20 minutes reminiscing about fruit pies!
