This edition of The Five Count was live from a dojo in Okinawa, Japan! We continued our remote broadcasts in order to bring in “big bucks” for the KMSU Pledge Drive. We discussed the the run-in we had with a Yokozuna earlier in the day, the various feats of strength we performed while we toured with the Christian Power Team, and our decision to embark on a rap career as “The New Fat Boys.” We have a lot on our plates, no pun intended!
This edition of The Five Count was a special one! Not only did we celebrate Ashley Birk’s birthday whilst simultaneously kicking off the spooky month of October with Halloween-themed tunes, but it was also the first time the show was brought to you from a remote location! The Five Count was broadcast live from a swamp three blocks north of the station. Other than a few technical hiccups (Ashley being eaten by bullfrogs, etc…) the show was a success. We even received a call from The A-Team!
This was a very special edition of The Five Count! We couldn’t help but notice that the listeners have been letting themselves go. So, with the help of former heavyweight wrestling champion Hulk Hogan and his patented workout program, we set out to try and get Southern Minnesota back into shape. We have a long way to go!
This was our special four-year anniversary edition of The Five Count! The show featured an unrehearsed, train-wrecking performance from The Five Count House Band. When the band wasn’t busy tearing it up, we took a few calls from some well-wishers and talked in great detail about Ton’s beard. He looks like ZZ Top!
For this edition of The Five Count, with a little help from the Peters Brothers, we discussed the “Truth About Rock.” The Five Count is usually all about fun and games, but for this show we discussed the dangers of today’s secular music, examined the lives of rock stars, the lyrics in today’s popular rock songs, and the deadly craze of backward-masking. A show like this was long overdue in Southern Minnesota!
This was the third anniversary of The Five Count! All sorts of “regulars” and “semi-regulars” showed up to help us celebrate during this three-hour show. We also had a blistering 90-minute set from The Five Count House Band. They aren’t the best, but they mean well. We’ll see if we can’t make it another year with this thing!
The Five Count House Band
This was the second anniversary of The Five Count! It was also an unnecessary amount of The Five Count, clocking in at more than five hours! When not making sophomoric jokes and reminiscing about the last two years, The Five Count House Band (backed up by The Five Countettes) played live in studio and ripped through all your old favorites. Thanks everyone for sticking with us the last two years!
Juston “Ton” Cline
This was the big one-year anniversary of The Five Count! During the show The Five Count House Band made its debut with the most unorganized and under-rehearsed jam session ever broadcast. They were joined by Randy “Macho Man” Savage, who dished up some freestyle rhymes. After the smoke cleared, we re-aired the pilot episode of The Five Count for anyone who jumped on the bandwagon late. It’s hard to believe we haven’t been thrown off the air yet!
